Not shabby

Today wasn't too bad.
  • Breakfast: Egg bagel, mustard, svg of deli ham, slice of RF cheese and 2 hard boiled eggs. 
  • Lunch: Ham steak, green beans, slice of WW bread, 2 mandarin oranges, and a McD's fruit and yogurt parfait with granola. 
  • No snack due to dentist visit
  • Dinner: 1cup of tortellini soup and 2 svgs crackers 
  • Dessert: 4 mozzarella sticks 
  • Midnight snack: slice of ww bread, 2-3tbs peanut butter 

I want to make some of those parfaits on my own. Though they are only a dollar at McD's, it is better not to have the temptation of ordering something less healthy. Still no exercise today. I did go to work early this morning though...excuses, excuses. I have not struggled with being hungry, which is a good thing. Meals are filling enough to feel satisfied and I believe the veggie/fruit fiber that I am in-taking is helping curb my appetite.

Edit: I had to add the midnight snack. My stomach was actually growling and I was uncomfortable, so I had the pb and bread...a better choice than I what I usually eat. Normally it is a sandwich, chips, and/or cookies or candy. So even though I ate, I did manage to make a better choice.

Trying

So, I didn't start on Saturday I started on Monday.

Monday:
  • Breakfast: Egg Bagel, mustard, serving of deli turkey, one slice of rf cheese, and 2 hard boiled eggs
  • Lunch: Chicken Chili, 2 svgs crackers, 2 mandarin oranges, 2 sandwich cookies, and pear cup
  • Snack: bag of baby carrots
  • Dinner: Ham Steak, broccoli mac & cheese, WW bread with spray butter
  • Dessert: 1/2 pink lemonade cake pop, sour patch kids
  • Drinks: 6oz Diet Rite, 8oz coffee with creamer & splenda, and water

Tuesday:
  • Breakfast: Egg Bagel, mustard, serving of deli turkey, one slice of rf cheese, and 2 hard boiled eggs
  • Lunch: 4 slices of deli pepperoni pizza from WalMart, 2 mandarin oranges, 1 sandwich cookie
  • Snack: bag of baby carrots
  • Dinner: 2 hot dogs, 1 bun, 1 svg of baked beans, and 2 svgs french fries
  • Dessert: sour patch kids
  • Drinks: 6oz Diet Rite, 8oz coffee with creamer & splenda, and water

Not a horrible start. No exercise yet though.

Starting again

As we looking into trying to conceive a child, I need to lose weight for a number of reasons. I didn't realize it's been since Oct 2009 since I last even bothered trying to lose weight. Starting on Saturday, I am going to try and eat healthier and exercise. I'd *love* to lose about 15-20lbs before my next GP doc visit for a bp/blood check. That's not an unrealistic goal, it's in the 2-3lbs a week range. This isn't going to be easy and I have horrible will power. Thinking about joining a message board for some support. I would love to do weight watchers, but buying healthy food is expensive enough. I think I'm actually looking forward to trying to lose.
