Horribleness?
Oof! I had a day off apparently. I didn't eat breakfast at home (because we didn't have anything), I didn't eat lunch at all and I didn't get what I said I was at Max & Erma's. Lots of "didn't"s in that sentence.
Now that I type it all down, it was a day off, but it won't undo everything I've done this week and it was just ONE day. Byron stopped for a potty break and asked if I wanted anything. I said no. He came back with a soda and a 3 Musketeers bar and offered me some, again I said no. I'm back on to being better today.

Decent Day Again
I had a badly good day. My friend wanted to go to Starbucks during lunch, so we went but I behaved by getting non-fat milk and no whipped cream and I only drank 13-14oz of the 16oz drink. That was the good part. I did have 1/4 of the brownie she bought that she offered me as dessert.
I looked up Max & Erma's for our Norfolk trip. As long as they let me have the lunch portion of Caribbean Chicken and switch out the broccoli for the fruit salad I'll be fine. Even though I'm not doing Weight Watchers specifically I still use their points system to help figure out what's the best for me while eating out.
Coming straight home was hard tonight. The smell of the Mickey D's fries in my work parking lot was luring. But, I went the back road way to stay away from the restaurant. Yay!

Better than decent day
I didn't get offered any food to turn down, the boss was overturned with the no water on the desk rule and I didn't eat everything in sight today. Darn good day.
Planning on going to Norfolk for a hockey game this weekend. That means we'll be eating dinner out again this weekend. Need to start planning for a proper dinner that night. We generally eat at Max & Erma's, so I need to do some research since it's been a while since we've been there and I'm sure they've changed their menu.

Decent Day
I was a good girl last night. No midnight snack last night. I just kept drinking my water.
At work today, I turned down some fries from Five Guys Burgers & Fries. I also turned down a Quaker rice cake, but that was because I had just finished lunch and wasn't hungry. I did take someone up on an offer for one Sugar Free vanilla wafer. That was actually pretty good. I might have to look into those.
Tomorrow there's a VP coming into work, so we won't be able to eat OR DRINK at our desk. I can understand eating, but I answer phones as part of my job. Talking causes my mouth to be dry, plus I'm on a diuretic (for the HBP) so I need to drink water to stay hydrated. Gratefully, it's just one day and I'm going to sneak in my water whenever I can. Also, since he'll be in there he'll camp out in our break/conference room which means no fridge or microwave access. Good thing is that someone owes me lunch and I told him today that I wanted Subway. So, I'll be able to stay on track.

Midnight snacking
Today wasn't horrible...just wasn't great. I forgot to buy my snack crackers at my weekly shopping trip. I was given a bag of Ruffles on Friday, so that was my snack today. Also, some leftover SweetTarts from the movie, but I had less than a serving. I ate my leftovers for lunch and didn't have a snack and didn't stop at McD's (which I'm famous for since it's right there when I leave work). I made it home and had dinner. Now 3 hours later I'm hungry again. I don't know if it's boredom or if it's that I'm playing Cafe' World on Facebook or something else. Maybe I'll have a yogurt...maybe I'll just drink my water like a good girl. I dunno. I'm just trying to type the hunger out right now I guess.
So, like I said...not great, but not horrible.
- Breakfast: Dry toast (2) Fried (in cooking spray) eggs (2) lunch meat ham (1)
- Lunch: Chicken Parmesan and spaghetti (6oz breast & 1/2 serving pasta), apple, 100 cal Nutty Bar
- Dinner: Pork Chop & Beans (4oz chop & 3/4cup beans)
- Dessert: Rice Crispy Treat (1)
- Snacks: 1 (small) bag of Ruffles, 1/2 serving of Pringles, 6 SweetTarts
- Drinks: 1c milk, 12oz diet soda, water

Eating out
Before I decided to start losing weight I signed up to be one of Woody's first 500,000 fans to receive a free burger from TGIFridays. We decided to go and I'd let B use the coupon and I'd get something else. Fridays has exactly 2 menu items for people watching their weight. I did not get either of these options because they didn't sound very good. I opted for a Chicken and Sausage Penne with Roasted Red Pepper sauce. It was pretty good which meant it couldn't have been good for me. But I have no idea because there's no nutritional facts on their site. The good thing was it was off their "Right Portion, Right Price" menu which meant it wasn't a huge bowl of the stuff. It did come with a bread stick and I only had one bite of that. I also had popcorn at the movies today, no butter as usual. So today wasn't a very good day. Just breakfast and dinner and we made those at home. Weekdays are generally easier, so we'll see how tomorrow goes.

The Goal
My goal is to lose 100 lbs in a year from October 1st.
My reasons for the goal:
a) Health
c) Being able to be pregnant
Now the more selfish reasons:
a) Sit in a concert seat comfortably
One problem is I don't know my actual weight right now. We don't own a scale and I'm not due back into a doctor's office until mid-November. So, I'll add 5lbs to whatever that weight is and make that my goal for October 2010. Or I'll buy a scale between now and then.
This blog will be for pushing through my struggles and plateaus and celebrating my accomplishments.
My reasons for the goal:
a) Health
- Reduce High Blood Pressure
- Reduce likely hood of type 2 diabetes
c) Being able to be pregnant
- produce a healthy child
- live through the pregnancy
- not develop gestational diabetes
Now the more selfish reasons:
a) Sit in a concert seat comfortably
- Norfolk Scope lower bowl
- Nissan Pavilion
- Verizon Center
