Didn't walk today due to rain and cold. Trying to fight a sinus infection. I hope to be able to taste this weekend.

Still walking on my 10mins breaks. Looking forward to our tie at the beach next weekend. Looks like we are going to get to meet some more locals thanks to my efforts to save my fav take out joint from being wrongfully sued.

Got weighed at my doctor appt and was 369.4. Hopefully it'll stay under 370 for my weigh in this week. I walked the dog down to the neighborhood park and back and wasn't too winded. I've done that lap before and been pretty tired when I got home, so yay! I have a prenatal consult with my doctor in two weeks.

I forgot, or maybe was too busy to jot down my food from yesterday. I had a rush order of 2 dozen cupcakes for my mo's co-worker. Had time off today to finish it, but that means I work on Saturday. This weekend is Easter and Sunday will be difficult for food. Ham, mac and cheese, deviled eggs...so good and so bad for me. I guess I will watch my portion size and hope for the best.
I didn't walk around the parking lot today, too cold and rainy and I didn't have an afternoon break since I left at noon. Hopefully,I will be able to go back to it tomorrow.

  • Lunch: 4 slices of pizza (whole wheat crust, 2Tbs pizza sauce, 1/2c mozz cheese, 1/2 svg turkey pepperoni), chocolate covered peanut butter cracker sandwich
  • Dinner: 2 Fish tacos (2 soft tortillas, 1/2 grilled tilapia fillet, 2Tbs sauce (Greek yogurt, lime juice, and chili powder), 22 tortilla chips, 1/2c guacamole, 1/3c coconut brown rice, pineapple chunks. 
  • Dessert: Coconut cupcake with coconut cream cheese frosting
  • Drinks: water

 I feel like I was in the kitchen all day. I made my mom a batch of guacamole, then myself a batch. Dropped off the guacamole to Mom, came back and made the coconut cupcakes. Then I made the pizza and had lunch. After lunch, I made the frosting for the cupcakes. I took a break and did some laundry before making the sauce for the fish tacos, the marinade for the chicken tomorrow (that hubby grilled tonight), and the twice-baked potato casserole for tomorrow as well. In that time I also boiled the coconut rice for dinner tonight. I've run the dishwasher once already today and it's almost full for a 2nd run.

Busy Saturday

  • Dessert: fruit cup, 2 mini candy bars, 1 mini hersheys egg, 1 lrg tootsie roll, 2 sml tootsie rolls
  • Drinks: 1/2c 1% milk, 20oz Diet Dr. Pepper, water

On the go today with an egg hunt in the morning with my stepmom, niece, and nephew. Then we went to lunch (notice I didn't finish my fries) and came back to my house for dyeing eggs. I had an hour break and then went to my mom's house to head to the Roller Derby at the Convention Center. I swear the walk from the parking garage could've counted as exercise for the day, it was that long. We were a very winning group. We won three raffles. I got a basket of chocolate covered pretzels and what I think are Oreos, but we haven't tried one yet. Dinner was surprisingly good considering it was Concession Stand food. All the candy was because the Roller Girls were tossing it out to the crowd.

We got the call today that Madison is ready to pick up from the crematory and we got a sympathy card from the Brandermill Vet. I haven't cried yet today, but bedtime is the hardest cause she's not there for me to say good night...okay I'm tearing up, stopping.
Work wasn't horrible today, but it's the same ol', same ol' in the complaint department.
Byron's window won't roll up all the way on his truck, so I have to meet Dad at Adam's to get it fixed. I had to turn him down on going to McDonald's. I've had a bad enough week, I don't need to pile on it.
I'm just pleased with today's intake.

I thought PMS made you starving...it's during my cycle for me it seems. I can't get enough and I feel that this week is going to be a bad one between the grief and the cycle I seemed screwed. I need to get back on track here or else I'll fall off. I was just thinking the end of last week how well I had been doing and how easy it was. That'll teach me. Sigh.

  • Dessert: 1/2c mixed fruit (banana, strawberry, peaches), 6oz low-fat yogurt, 1/4c granola
  • Drinks: water, 6oz Diet Coke

Lunch at Texas Roadhouse. So not used to the grease, it upset my stomach. At dinner the potato casserole sucked. Low fat cheese doesn't melt. It get warm and brown.
I finally started my period, 10 days late. And the pain of euthanizing Madison is easing, but still very much there.

It's been a horrible day. We put Madison to sleep this afternoon. I couldn't eat my normal breakfast cause I wasn't hungry until almost 11am and I couldn't chew fast enough between calls at work to eat my bagel sandwich. I had the donut cause I figured I should eat something. After leaving the vet hospital, I decided I should eat something and went to my fav place, Plaza Azteca. We're eating out again tomorrow afternoon. This is not a good weekend.

Finally got that 10lbs mark. Only 18lbs more for my first goal.

Work was almost bearable today. I'm never really getting to the part of starving, which is great. I hope this keeps up and I continue losing weight. Tomorrow night we're going to the Drive-in to see The Hunger Games. Not ruining my progress there though. Hubby is bringing me my dinner and I'm only getting popcorn and some Twizzlers.

Small struggle in the morning when I realized that I had dropped my banana and had no snack. I drank some more water. I peed all freaking day, like once a hour almost every hour. It was crazy.

Oh that peach cup is nasty. It's chunky water...no taste. A waste of the small amount of calories that it was. Luckily, hubby is cutting up some fresh pineapple as I type so I'll have that for my lunches.

I made the zucchini sticks yesterday and hubby warmed them in the oven for dinner tonight. They were a little extra crispy, but they were surprisingly good. Easy to make and pretty cheap. Better than eating 2 svg of french fries that's for sure.

I attempted to make a Shamrock shake because hubby wanted one, but it was like drinking peppermint extract to me. So, I tried to tame it with just some vanilla and milk and that did nothing. I put it in the fridge in case hubby wants to finish it later. I had no interest in wasting calories on it. Ick.

Sad Saturday

Horrible morning with bad news for my kitty cat and the stress of the work week just pouring out at the vet's office. My lunch turned out really well though. I was completely full afterward. I took a several hour nap and felt my blood pressure had reduced. At my dad's house watching the Rams game. Still full from dinner even though I didn't eat much. I didn't think the amount of taquitos was great, so I thought it would be better to reduce the number of turkey legs I had.

  • Midnight snack: svg deli turkey, cheese, mustard, bread, baked ruffles, 2 fig newtons.

I gave up a serving of crackers at lunch and dessert so I could have the extra pork sirloin. I love  LOVE the marinade that Lawry's makes for Steak & Chops, especially when it's grilled.
Work was a little better, but I found out that I start working Saturdays next week. The good news is that it's OT, plus I'm coming in M-F an hour earlier to play catch-up. While this puts a kink in my plan to start walking in the morning, the paycheck will be really nice in two weeks.
If I've gained again this week, I have another idea to adjust my breakfast.

Thirsty Thursday

Rough day at work, but okay day food wise. Watching the VCU-Witchita St game. I slept horrible last night, didn't get to bed until 12:30am and was tired all day until a co-worker gave me a Kcup. I had to toss my morning coffee cause there was no creamer. Was feeling a little hungry after lunch today, but work is so busy I barely have time to eat. Gosh I hope I lose weight this week. I've been trying really hard to be good. Maybe next week I can actually get my butt up in the am and go for a walk. Gonna make some more new recipes next week too.

One of the worst days in a while, my rear view mirror broke off in my truck and it is not an easy fix, a few of the customers today were just off their rockers and my boss was a tad angry today. The only good part is that I stayed on track with my food.

Terrible Tuesday

  • Lunch: svg Pizza casserole, 2 mandarin oranges, pineapple, pear cup
  • Snack: 1/2 svg double chocolate butter rum brownie with frosting
  • Dinner: 1/2 svg chicken, 1/2 svg refried beans, 1/2c chicken salad, svc Baked Ruffles chips
  • Dessert: 2 svg crackers and probably 2-3Tbs peanut butter  
  • Drinks: 8oz coffee (creamer & Splenda), 6oz Diet Rite, water
Sigh. I wanted the first snack, then the 2nd snack was because I didn't want to disappoint my best friend and her attempts at baking. I wasn't happy with dinner because the chicken was super dry and so were the beans. They were both new recipes, so I was completely disappointed. I knew I needed to eat something, so I finished off the chicken salad and finished off the chips that I had started on the way home. Yeah, it's been a rough day. Trying to come up with something for dessert because I didn't take out any berries from the freezer and I think I need something with some substance. Sigh. I ended up with pb and crackers and I am not hungry now, but I am still not happy with today. Tomorrow is a new day and I will try not to let today hold me back.

Work was crazy busy and I wasn't all that hungry until 5pm, but by that time dinner was too close to bother with food. Now sitting here, I'm hungry but dessert is soon and usually filling.
Edit: Maybe I shouldn't spend my nights cruising Pintrest for new recipes.

Saturday

How discouraging! Maybe it's my portion size with the protein. Maybe it's my lack of exercise. Am I eating too much fruit/veggies? That can't be it. Ack! As mentioned, my breakfast routine is changing slightly. I should be close to my cycle, so it could be water retention. I'll be more careful this week with portions.

  • Breakfast: egg bagel, 2 TBS blueberry-pineapple jam, 2 mandarin oranges, 1 hard boiled egg
  • Snack: 11 bite size tortilla chips, 1/4-1/3c guacamole (avocado, jalapeno, red onion, lime juice, tomato, cilantro, S&P)
  • Lunch: 4 celery stalks, 2 slices of tomato, 1/2c chicken salad (chicken, mayo, relish, egg, garlic powder, dried minced onion, paprika, S&P), 10 Baked Ruffles chips.
  • Dinner: 1.5 svg Pizza Casserole (lean ground beef, turkey pepperoni, pizza sauce, egg noodles, onion, garlic, mushrooms, and cheese)
  • Dessert: 1/2 soft pretzel, 1.5 svg Sour Skittles
  • Drinks: water

Evening off

I ate til I was just at the cusp of uncomfortable this evening. One off evening in the past two weeks. Hopefully it won't undo everything I have done this week. Weigh in tomorrow morning...sigh.

Minus the skin, I did pretty good today. Tomorrow we are going to my favorite place, Plaza Azteca for dinner. I am not sure what I will get, but I know I have to go easy on the chips for the salsa and no white sauce at all. I am hoping to make my own guacamole this weekend. Not sure about this weight thing, doesn't seem to be going down. Might have to figure out something else. I am just not sure what. *sigh* I am feeling kinda eh right now. My stomach hurts for no good reason.. the skin?

I had weighed myself, but I thought I weighed less than I did and kinda freaked out over nothing. Luckily, I didn't let it get me down and I stayed on track. I might be a little proud of myself for that.

  • Dinner: 2c beef stew (beef, carrots, celery, onion, potatoes), 2 slices Grape-nut bread, 16 sprays non-butter spray
  • Dessert: 6oz low-fat vanilla yogurt, 1/3 granola, 1/4 mixed berries
  • Drinks: 2 (8oz) coffee (splenda & creamer), 6oz diet rite, water
Pretty good, but still no exercise. Very tired from not getting to bed til late due to the basketball game. 

Not one piece of candy or a cookie today. I just noticed that. Didn't even crave it. I have cookies in my lunch bag and Hershey's Drops and some salt water taffy among other random sweets in my desk and I didn't even think about them today. Yay! Though I did have a 2nd coffee today. I made not have made it through the late afternoon without it though.

Right now my stomach is rumbling, but I'm giving it water instead. No need to eat at 11:45pm.

Hubby helped make a potato casserole that will go with two dinners this week. Hopefully, that dish will turn out decent.

  • Drinks: 8oz coffee (creamer & Splenda), 8oz hot chocolate, water, 6oz Diet Rite

 I'd call this a pretty good day. The weekend wasn't that bad. I only ate one "meal" at the Coliseum and I think what I chose was better than some of what was offered. I had planned on that soft pretzel tonight. I didn't have any chips with the dinner sub so I could have that pretzel. I think going to Rams games should be considered exercise. Between the roaming around the Coliseum, running to the bathroom so I don't miss the game or Peppas playing, clapping, dancing, jumping, cheering, and not to mention the almost constant jumping out of my seat. I was worn out last night and tonight. Pretty sore as well.

If the doctor's office scale was correct, I weighed in there at 384 on 2/22.
I started eating better this week, but I started watching portions that week.
So my total loss so far is: 5.6 lbs.
350 is my goal before pregnancy.
My ob-gyn appt is April 10th.
I would like to WILL lose another 10lbs before that appt.

Tis ok

Today wasn't horrible, but it could've been better. My will power isn't great, but it is okay.
  • Breakfast: Egg bagel, mustard, svg plus one deli ham, rf cheese slice, and 2 hard boiled eggs.
  • Snack: svg baby carrots 
  • Lunch: Tortellini soup, slice of ww bread, 2 mandarin oranges, and a pear cup 
  • Snack: svg bbq Lays chips, 3 pieces of taffy 
  • Dinner: Spaghetti and 2 slices of garlic toast 
  • Dessert: 2 pieces of chocolate 
  • Drinks: 8oz coffee with Splenda and creamer, water, 6oz Diet Rite
I am thinking about reducing the egg count from two to one in the mornings. I have got some good things on my grocery list for this week. I am looking forward to being able to keep track of the pounds on the scale.
Still no exercise.

  • Snack: svg Lays bbq chips, a cookie
  • Dinner: Lemon pepper chicken, slice of ww bread, and svg broccoli mac and cheese
  • Dessert: 2 Samoas (girl scout cookie) 
  • Drinks: 8oz coffee with Splenda and creamer, water, 6oz Diet Rite 

I jinxed myself yesterday by mentioning staying full. When I ate I felt full, but not for long. I drank a whole lot of water today. I am not feeling well right now.
This weekend might be a challenge as I will be at a bball tourney and there can be many yummy temptations. I plan on taking in a few better for me snacks and eating my meal at home instead of at the Coliseum.
I also will be buying a scale this weekend. I need to keep tabs on my own, not just when I go to the doctor. I found one that I like at WalMart for a good price and since I do my grocery shopping there, I have no excuse not to buy it.

Here is to doing better tomorrow.

Not shabby

Today wasn't too bad.
  • Breakfast: Egg bagel, mustard, svg of deli ham, slice of RF cheese and 2 hard boiled eggs. 
  • Lunch: Ham steak, green beans, slice of WW bread, 2 mandarin oranges, and a McD's fruit and yogurt parfait with granola. 
  • No snack due to dentist visit
  • Dinner: 1cup of tortellini soup and 2 svgs crackers 
  • Dessert: 4 mozzarella sticks 
  • Midnight snack: slice of ww bread, 2-3tbs peanut butter 

I want to make some of those parfaits on my own. Though they are only a dollar at McD's, it is better not to have the temptation of ordering something less healthy. Still no exercise today. I did go to work early this morning though...excuses, excuses. I have not struggled with being hungry, which is a good thing. Meals are filling enough to feel satisfied and I believe the veggie/fruit fiber that I am in-taking is helping curb my appetite.

Edit: I had to add the midnight snack. My stomach was actually growling and I was uncomfortable, so I had the pb and bread...a better choice than I what I usually eat. Normally it is a sandwich, chips, and/or cookies or candy. So even though I ate, I did manage to make a better choice.

  • Lunch: Chicken Chili, 2 svgs crackers, 2 mandarin oranges, 2 sandwich cookies, and pear cup
  • Snack: bag of baby carrots
  • Dinner: Ham Steak, broccoli mac & cheese, WW bread with spray butter
  • Dessert: 1/2 pink lemonade cake pop, sour patch kids
  • Drinks: 6oz Diet Rite, 8oz coffee with creamer & splenda, and water

Tuesday:
  • Breakfast: Egg Bagel, mustard, serving of deli turkey, one slice of rf cheese, and 2 hard boiled eggs
  • Lunch: 4 slices of deli pepperoni pizza from WalMart, 2 mandarin oranges, 1 sandwich cookie
  • Snack: bag of baby carrots
  • Dinner: 2 hot dogs, 1 bun, 1 svg of baked beans, and 2 svgs french fries
  • Dessert: sour patch kids
  • Drinks: 6oz Diet Rite, 8oz coffee with creamer & splenda, and water

Not a horrible start. No exercise yet though.

Starting again

As we looking into trying to conceive a child, I need to lose weight for a number of reasons. I didn't realize it's been since Oct 2009 since I last even bothered trying to lose weight. Starting on Saturday, I am going to try and eat healthier and exercise. I'd *love* to lose about 15-20lbs before my next GP doc visit for a bp/blood check. That's not an unrealistic goal, it's in the 2-3lbs a week range. This isn't going to be easy and I have horrible will power. Thinking about joining a message board for some support. I would love to do weight watchers, but buying healthy food is expensive enough. I think I'm actually looking forward to trying to lose.
